A few words about WALCSS from Chairman Peter Bache.

Hello.... We are the White and Long Coat German Shepherd Society WALCSS.

Our society was formed back in 1986 (so this year we celebrate our 25th anniversary) as a focal point for those who particularly favour the white - and indeed other colours - and long coat varieties of the magnificent breed known as the German Shepherd Dog or GSD.
White and Long Coated GSDs exhibit all the attributes of their 'short' or 'standard coat' cousins, differing only in coat length & colour.
Indeed all types have been in evidence since the inception of the breed at the end of the nineteenth century.
We are a country wide club, also with a number of overseas members and anyone with any interest in dogs is welcome to join. We produce a very interesting quarterly newsletter packed full of useful advice, dog related articles and snippets researched exhaustively by our enthusiastic editor.
Our newsletter has details of available health tested stud dogs and we may be able to put you in touch with puppies for sale.

Club members around the country put on well organised rallies/social events on behalf of the club .
These rallies are at the entry level of dog showing, so are well within the compass of the novice/first time show entrant.
They include breed classes, novelty/fun classes for GSDs, sometimes classes for all breeds and sometimes obedience classes.
Details of rallies can be found on this website keep checking back as events are added as details become available throughout the year.
You don't have to be a club member to enter our rallies but of course we would be delighted if you chose to join us!

Have a browse through our site & if you are interested you will find a membership form to download or get in touch via our 'Membership' page.

We look forward to welcoming you as a member and to one of our events ................ I think you'll find us a friendly bunch!!

Peter Bache
